Anne-Marie Roth:

"I was born on February 2, 1958, in Marienburg, a village in Transylvania. I spent my childhood there and completed my first four years of school. I always attended a German school. I belong to the minority of Transylvanian Saxons, who founded most of the towns in Transylvania. At home, we spoke our Transylvanian Saxon dialect and learned German and Romanian. From the 5th grade, I went to school in Schäßburg, where I graduated from the 'Joseph Haltrich' Lyceum and then studied German Studies for three semesters in Timișoara. In 1979, I moved with my parents to Bremen, where I studied German and French at the university. I worked for many years as a teacher in Göllheim."

"My hobby was classical music; I took singing lessons and sang in an ensemble for a long time. We performed in churches in the Kaiserslautern area. I have always loved to draw, and I have a knack for it. A few years ago, I discovered a love for writing, and I have since written several stories."
